Recent Projects

BEVERAGE MANUFACTURING FACILITY – MACHINE INSTALLATION

Our electrical team recently completed an installation of a high-speed bottling line in regional Queensland for one of our long-term clients, a German OEM, who are one of the world’s leading manufacturers in the food and beverage industry.

From the initial phase of de-stacking to the final stages encompassing labelling, filling, and palletising, our team ensured the project’s punctual execution, guaranteeing a seamless installation process for the entire production line. This encompassed meticulous attention to detail in the placement of Main Switchboards (MSBs) and Motor Control Cabinets (MCCs) strategically around the production line. Moreover, our scope involved the installation of cable trays and ducting, interconnecting all machinery and devices, followed by the roughing in, termination, and labelling of over 1000 cables.

Our comprehensive involvement extended to the testing and commissioning phase, wherein our technicians worked closely with the customer’s technicians to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment. BRE assumed full responsibility for the electrical scope of the project, overseeing the supply of all necessary testing documentation and facilitating communication between the end user and our client.

With a dedicated team of over 20 personnel onsite, comprising apprentices, A-grade electricians, and project supervisors, we ensured the seamless execution of every aspect of the installation process, delivering exceptional results in line with our client’s expectations.

PLASTICS RECYCLING FACILITY – LV POWER AND MACHINE INSTALLATION

Our electrical team recently concluded the successful installation of an advanced plastics recycling facility in Melbourne. BRE assumed responsibility for the procurement and installation of switchboards, cable ways, trays, supports, as well as all mains and control cabling and terminations.

This innovative facility is poised to process the equivalent of over half a billion plastic milk bottles and food tubs, converting them into recycled resins utilized for food, beverage, and industrial packaging. We are delighted to contribute to projects that advance our journey towards a greener, circular economy, fostering a more sustainable future.

Spanning over six months, this project demanded expertise, experience, and unwavering determination from a BRE team of 35 electricians, meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations.

AUTOMATED LOGISTICS SYSTEM – MACHINE INSTALLATION

The electrical team recently achieved another successful milestone in collaboration with a longstanding customer from Austria in the freight and logistics sector. This comprehensive project involved three main sections, beginning with the installation of an automated shuttle retrieval system comprising eight aisles. Additionally, our team implemented Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and conveyors to facilitate the seamless movement of products within and outside the shuttle system, including the delivery of totes to designated “Pick Stations” for online order fulfillment. Lastly, we installed the electrical components for the automated conveyor system, enabling the efficient transportation of parts between existing systems and e-commerce packing stations.

Given the intricate nature of the machinery involved and the bustling environment of the factory, this project demanded extensive teamwork and coordination among all stakeholders. BRE meticulously designed cable pathways, incorporating tray and duct systems throughout the installation process. Furthermore, our team handled the termination of various components, ranging from Motor Control Centres (MCCs) to sensors, isolators, motors, and labellers.

At its peak, this project required the dedicated efforts of a team comprising up to 30 electricians, underscoring our commitment to delivering excellence through collaboration and expertise.

LITHIUM FILTER PRESS – CONTROL CABINET BUILD

Our electrical team recently completed these large remote I/O cabinets, which have been sent to their new home at a large mining site in Western Australia.

BRE took full ownership right through from design, procurement to construction being completed in-house by our talented team of engineers and panel builders.

We worked closely with our customer to ensure we fully understood their technical requirements and aligned with their rigorous site specifications.

The final part of the scope was to facilitate Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) which was completed in collaboration with our customers engineering department at our Thomastown factory, before being safely crated up and ready for transportation.
